Terms of use
By using Need a Visa? you agree to these terms. It is an informational reference, not official advice.
Service description
Need a Visa? (needavisa.fyi) provides publicly available reference information about typical short-stay visa rules for a passport and destination, and directory listings of embassies and consulates. It is a free website, which may be supported by ads, with no accounts or bookings.
No official advice
- Content is informational only and is not legal, immigration, or travel advice.
- We are not a government, embassy, airline, or licensed immigration adviser.
- Entry and visa decisions are made by destination authorities and carriers; rules change without notice.
- Always verify with the destination government and your airline or carrier (including Timatic or equivalent at check-in) before you travel.
Data accuracy
We aim for honest uncertainty: unknown and disputed statuses are shown rather than invented. OpenStreetMap-derived mission data may be incomplete or outdated. See Methodology and Sources.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the site to attempt unauthorized access, scrape abusively, or disrupt service.
- Do not use Need a Visa? to promote forged documents, evasion of immigration controls, or impersonation of governments or IATA.
- Do not misrepresent our content as an official determination of your eligibility.
Intellectual property & attribution
Site design and original copy are reserved by the operator except where third-party licences apply. Visa matrix and OpenStreetMap data remain under their respective licences (CC BY-SA / ODbL) as described on Sources.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Need a Visa? and its operators are not liable for any loss, delay, refused boarding, denied entry, costs, or damages arising from reliance on the site — including incomplete, disputed, or outdated information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Australian consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are being reviewed by a lawyer. We'll update this section once that review is complete.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. Continued use after posting changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.
