Purpose

Need a Visa? answers two questions quickly: with your passport, do you need a visa for a short trip to your destination; and which embassy or consulate can help, especially near you.

You can check any passport and destination, browse every destination for a passport in the visa matrix, and search a directory of embassies and consulates built from OpenStreetMap. There are no accounts, payments, bookings or visa applications on the site.

Your passport choice

On your first visit we suggest a passport from your approximate location or your browser language. If we can't tell, we start with Australia. Change it any time; we remember your choice in a cookie on this site only.

Data & trust

Statuses come from open, attributable sources. We never invent a visa status: unknown cells stay unknown, and conflicting sources are flagged as disputed. See Methodology and Sources for licences and refresh intent.
