Who we are

Need a Visa? (needavisa.fyi) is a reference website run from Australia. To make a privacy request, email us at the contact address shown on this site. We will update this policy if we add advertising, analytics or other providers.

What we collect

• Preferences you set — for example your passport country (na_passport) and an optional city used to sort nearby consulates (na_city), stored in cookies or local storage on this site. These are preferences, not accounts.
• Approximate location — the country (and sometimes city) suggested by your IP address, used to pre-select a passport. We don't store your IP address with your passport preference.
• Technical logs — standard server or platform logs (may include IP, user agent, path) for security and reliability, retained only as long as needed to run the site.
• Error reports — if you email us, we receive whatever you include in the message.
• Analytics — none at the moment. If we turn on Google Analytics 4 (GA4), it may set cookies or similar technologies only after you accept. We don't show ads at the moment. See Cookies.

We do not offer user accounts, and we do not sell personal information.

For individuals in Australia, we intend to handle personal information consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles: collect only what we need for the site to work and to show relevant notices; use it for those purposes; take reasonable steps to protect it; and let you ask for access or correction by email.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR-oriented)

International transfers

Need a Visa? is a general audience reference site, not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for accounts (we have no accounts).
